Car body is in epoxy primer. This is the rust inhibiting primer as well as an adhesion promoter for bodywork.

Below, holes from previous bioody work were then welde up prior epoxy.

extra rust above and below was found under bumpers by quarters in process of repairing them now.

Seats have been repaired , ie cracks, scratches and dyed. Above seat has two coats , needs two more. Below backrest is on last coat of dye. Looking like new

Above Rust holes in doors almost done welding and prep

Rust under rear window welded and ready. Rust over wheel well in repair process. All inner structures were re welded, epoxy primed and weld through primer.

Above not some rust had made it through inner panels. Ended up cutting out quite a bot more before repair.

Parts are dismantled and receiving the finish removal. We are moving on to metal repair and epoxy.

Left front fender has a small rust spot but not bad and luckily and amazingly the right front fender has no rust.

Left side 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am stripped except plastic and fiberglass. Rust is typical to new England vehicles. Obviously not repair properly by other shop. We are almost ready to start welding in the new metal and begin moving forward again.

Above and below left front fender had excessive body filler as well as a giant hole that they had filled over without welding.

Right rear quarter panel is appearing to be similar to other side.

Above original panel with rust was not removed. Instead a piece of metal was riveted over and then filled with over 3/4" body filler.

Above Left Rear Quarter panel being stripped. Rust was not repaired under flair. Rust holes on wheel wells and window edger were filled with body filler.
Front windshield molding carefully removed and to a great surprise extremely clean underneath.

You can see after the rear window trim was removed there was a ton of dirt and debris under the chrome. this would explain the dirt in the paint job.

Even though the chrome trim was painted over and the rubber seals were destroyed surprisingly the window channel was in great shape.
