Custom Interior Spotlight: 1931 Plymouth Hot Rod Gets a Bold Budget-Friendly Makeover

Custom Interior Spotlight: 1931 Plymouth Hot Rod Gets a Bold Budget-Friendly Makeover

At DSD Motorsports & Resto Mod Garage, we believe every build — no matter the budget — deserves to look and feel amazing. This 1931 Plymouth hot rod is a perfect example of how we take pride in delivering custom craftsmanship, even when working within financial limits.

The customer came to us looking for an interior that would elevate the car’s personality without breaking the bank. So, we rolled up our sleeves and put together a head-turning custom interior that strikes the perfect balance between style and value.

We used a sleek black imitation leather and stitched it with heavy-duty yellow thread in a bold diamond pattern that really pops. The contrast creates a hot rod vibe that feels clean, custom, and totally unique to this ride.

This wasn’t just a seat job — we went all-in, crafting and installing:

  • 💎 Custom kick panels

  • 💎 Detailed door panels

  • 💎 A one-off bulkhead

  • 💎 Quarter panels and headliner

  • 💎 Padded dash top and header

  • 💎 And a fresh new carpet kit to tie it all together

Even though this build was considered a "budget interior," we never cut corners. The result? A slick and stylish cockpit that looks right at home in this vintage hot rod — and more importantly, made our customer proud to show it off.

At DSD Motorsports & Resto Mod Garage, we take every project seriously, whether it’s a full-blown show car or a street cruiser with a story. Our goal is always the same: deliver high-quality work, customized to our customer’s vision, and make them happy every time.

Want your own custom interior — mild or wild? Let’s build it.
